Apocalyptic Artists Ensemble

History

Apocalyptic Artists was born out of a simple desire to serve the students in our community who were losing access to arts programming during the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic. What began as online workshops paired with Zoom performances of Macbeth has grown beyond what we could have anticipated.  By Summer 2026, we will have facilitated more than 750 workshops and performed for 25 schools across the five boroughs.  Our films and live productions have been seen by thousands of students in New York City and beyond.

Our Mission

Apocalyptic Artists is an ensemble of multidisciplinary theatre makers committed to shaping the future of classical theatre, making it accessible for all.

We produce new and innovative adaptations, honor artists with diverse identities and experiences, and provide inspirational programming for young people.
